shroom detectives

i read that an indigenous use of mushrooms was to determine theft of something or who had commited a crime in a tribe. Has anyone come across more on this either in the past or in the present?

    I know that when sailing the seas of shrooms,
    I can see waves of truth and dishonesty.
    It has given me the ability of seeing clearer without the sailing.
    Just my personal experience.

    I like the post subject title... and am interested in more of what this will bring up.
